Adam Lambert and Kris Allen

Adam Lambert and Kris Allen

I have sources with intimate knowledge of the show and the results are in.  The winner of American Idol is… Adam Lambert! These sources initially only agreed to speak on the condition of anonymity.  I have the utmost respect for my sources, but in this case I’ll reveal their identity.  The sources telling me the winner of American Idol? … My ears.  It will be a sham if Adam Lambert doesn’t win.  There are questions (asked & answered) about his sexual orientation and that may ultimately be what that keeps him from winning American Idol in 2009.  Kris Allen is good but he’s nowhere near the talent level of Adam Lambert (or even Allison Iraheta or Danny Gokey).

During the final performance show, the contestants were both asked to perform a song written by Kara Dioguardi.  My sources tell me this song was terrible and I sincerely hope they don’t plan on releasing that as a single.  The lyrics were embarassingly bad/cliche.  Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell managed to bite their tongue and not bash the song.  Luckily, Adam Lambert also performed Change Is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke and the Gary Jules version of Mad World (one of my favorites, the original Tears for Fears version.. not so much).  These two performances sealed it.  Congratulations to the next American Idol (pending  actual proof), Adam Lambert!

They both released albums on May 12th with production from Nova and Info.

Nova is back at it again with Cam’Ron, this time with the assist from Info. Nova and Info collaborated for this monster track that leads off the newest Cam’Ron album “Crime Pays.” The track is titled “Cookin’ Up” and Cam’ron also shot a fresh video for the song. You need to go out and buy this album.  Head over to RollingStone.com to hear the album.  Nova and Info also produced Paul Wall - “Pressin’ Them Buttons” featuring Lil Keke & Trae, on his new album “Fast Life.”  I haven’t bought the album yet but you can check out XXL Magazine’s review.

Cam’ron also announced “The Bosses” tour with Jadakiss this summer.  The Bosses?  Why does that sound familiar.. oh yeah.. The Management

Here is video footage of Barack Obama’s comedic stand up act at the White House Correspondents Dinner.  It’s good to see Obama and other politicians laughing at themselves.  This dinner is a customary fundraiser/gathering of the White House press, assorted media, and journalists, but there were many celebrities and other public figures in attendance, including Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Michael Steele, Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman, Sting,  Warren Buffet, Barbara Walters, Steven Spielberg, Jon Bon Jovi, Mariska Hargitay & Richard Belzer (SVU!) and plenty more you can spot.  The White House Correspondents Dinner was hosted by Wanda Sykes; Barack Obama’s jokes are below:

Yung Walt is the winner of RapMusic.com’s “Drop Your Best Single Contest” sponsored by Definit, edging out the other two finalists (Lyzation and Dely).

Yung Walt’s “Why N*****?” is a track about the dangers of living life on the block. In it, he expresses how he’ll do anything to “make it” and you can tell he’s not lying. His strong delivery and polished quick-fire flow are proof that he has put in work in this rap game. The song comes together well over a good beat with a hook by James. This is a quality single with no loose strings.

Yung Walt, a West Coast native, has released songs with Snoop Dog, Too Short, Kurupt, Battlecat, and the multi-talented musical group 1500orNothin’ (musicians behind Jay-Z’s “Show Me What You Got” and The Game’s “Why You Hate The Game” in collaboration with Just Blaze). Yung Walt released his debut album “Hustle 2 Struggle” in 2006 through his own imprint, Ghetto Child Entertainment.

"... I transcend stereotypical 'West Coast' hip hop."

At first this I had this Bulls vs Celtics series being one-sided, but the Bulls turned it up on the Celtics.  Now I watched every game but game 6 (which I still regret) and I’ll admit that they are going hard.  Rose is a great acquisition along with Salmons and especially Brad Miller because he’s been in the playoffs in the West numerous times.  Being that the East is supposedly weak (but always wins the finals), it seems like everything is up for grabs.

I believe in Game 7, the Celtics will pull it out. I mean they’ve been through this the whole playoffs last year, all game 7s until the Finals.  Bulls will put up a valiant effort and hopefully they don’t make me swallow my words, but I think the Celtics are too prepared for situations like this one. Also, they have the home court as well so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. I have Celtics winning it.  FEED RAY ALLEN THE BALL!!!!
